Let's do this thing

Let's do this thing

It's the day before Thanksgiving, in the strangest year ever, in the middle of a pandemic that does not yet show any signs of being under control. Hey, let's reopen a business!

For me, this has been a year of pivot after pivot - as it has been for so, so many others. I feel like I spent most of the year spinning around as fast as possible then stopping to ask what's next, let's do that, like some kind of crazy malfunctioning wind up toy. I started the year teaching art at a local university and doing design work for one long-term client. And here we are at the end of the year and I'm rebranding and relaunching my wall planner and calendar business; I didn't see that one coming.

Finding the balance between what I can do and what I can do with many, many interruptions has been a whole new ball game. There are stretches of days where the kids take priority and I don't get anywhere near my desk until somewhere near the middle of the night. Other ventures and commitments have fallen away as the time and space needed to do them well pretty-much collapsed in on itself.

But really, it is what it is. 2020 is, after all, #2020. I'm tremendously grateful for our health and our house. We're still here, we're still moving, even if it's more sideways than forward. Planning and stationery and calendars are always going to be one of my first loves, so I am really excited to breathe new life into this venture.

I have a new printing partner with facilities all over the globe, so as soon as your order is placed, it goes to print somewhere near you. That saves on energy and resources, plus your shipping costs and delivery times are greatly reduced. I'm really excited to work with them. I'm also partnering with One Tree Planted, so for each item sold in the shop, a tree is planted - let's work together and plant a forest!

I have big plans, for all the things, but I need to be ok with getting to them slower than I would like. For now, the 2021 wall calendars are ready to go - they're big or freaking giant, depending on which size you choose, and they're gorgeous. The print quality is just lovely and the paper is satisfyingly crisp and smooth. Next up I want to add 2021 yearly goal plans to the shop, followed by quarterly calendars both dated and undated.

Slightly further down the line, is a project planner book (yay!) and perhaps even a subscription box. And then I'll definitely be using this lovely new custom packing tape. Like I said, I have all the plans, but for now, I'm taking it one step at a time. I am really very happy to (once again) declare this little corner of the internet open for business.
